The AEI installation of production capacity for A. Kavolis's individual company

The share of electricity from AEI in comparison to Lithuania’s total final electricity consumption is 28.10% (2021), aiming for 50% (by 2030). This project addresses the following main issues: climate change, energy supply reliability and security, dependence on imported fuel and energy, and emissions of greenhouse gases into the atmosphere.

In 2022, the cost of electricity increased by 71.9%, while production volumes at the company increased, leading to a higher energy demand. By installing solar power plants, the company will contribute to increasing the share of electricity from AEI, reducing pollution from the industrial sector, and mitigating environmental damage during production. The goal of the project is to increase the share of AEI production in final energy consumption. The project’s activities include promoting the deployment of renewable energy resources (hereinafter – AEI) in industrial enterprises in the Central and Western regions of Lithuania. As a result of the project, a 328.82 kW solar power plant will be installed. The solar power plant will generate 286 MWh of electricity per year.

Project goal – to increase the share of AEI production in final energy consumption.

Project activity – promoting the implementation of renewable energy resources (hereinafter – AEI) in industrial enterprises (Central and Western regions of Lithuania).

Project result – upon implementing the Project, a 328.82 kW solar power plant will be installed. The solar power plant will generate 286 MWh of electricity per year.
